摘要 A machine for knitting socks with a non-linear step structure sinker and an actuator thereof is provided to reduce moment acting on a sinker by forming a hitting point adjacently to the center of the sinker by easily securing an escape space of an actuator by variously setting operating directions of the actuator, thereby stably sliding the sinker for reducing a defect rate of sock pile patterns. A sinker(100) has a plurality of sinker body parts(111,121,131,141) installed at a sinker bed at predetermined gaps, wherein an operating part contacting with a sinker actuator(200) is formed at one end of the sinker body part in different positions not to be overlapped with other operating parts. The sinker actuator has a plurality of operating levers(210,220,230,240) contacting with the operating parts of the sinker body parts respectively, wherein partial operating levers are operated in a direction different from the rest of the operating levers, having a plurality of driving elements operating the operating levers.
