An exhaust gas purifying device includes a tubular casing 21 arranged in exhaust passages 6, 7 of an internal combustion engine. A filter 13 is held in the casing 21. The filter 13 collects and burns particulates contained in the exhaust gas discharged by the internal combustion engine. The casing 21 has a double structure including an inner case 23 supporting an outer peripheral surface of the filter 13 and an outer case 24 arranged around the inner case 23.
