The invention relates to panels for the provision of a floor covering. Said panels can be configured in two parts and comprise channel-type cavities, in particular along their longitudinal faces. The channel-type cavities can carry cables or tubing. This permits an electric cable to be laid in the middle of a room, without having to undertake complex installation work.
