The mechanism has a gong emitting two sounds of different frequencies, and pallets (36). Hammers are moved by the pallets to strike the gong, where the pallets are arranged coaxially. The pallet has a tip cooperating with toothed sectors mounted movably in movement in order to pivot the tip. A spring is supported on a positioning surface to maintain the pallet in a rest position. The pallet has a pallet fork to directly act on a pin having the hammers to strike the gong.
