PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress drop of the output voltage of a solid high-polymer type fuel cell generated in association with provision of a spacer to partition a passage for cooling medium in lieu of unit cell at intervals based upon the specified number of unit cells. SOLUTION: On both sides of high-polymer electrolyte films 2a and 3a, unit cells 2 and 3 formed by joining positive electrodes 2b and 3b and negative electrodes 2c and 3c are installed alternately at a certain spacing in the direction across the thickness, and a spacer 4 is installed between the positive electrode 2b and negative electrode 3c. Separators 5, 6, 7 are interposed between the positive electrode 2b and spacer 4, between spacer 4 and negative electrode 3c, and between the positive electrode 3b and negative electrode 2c. A cooling medium seal member 13 consisting of an electroconductive member is interposed between the periphery 5b of the separator 5 and the periphery 6b of the separator 6, and it is made possible to generate electron communication between these two parts 5b and 6b. |
