The invention relates to a fuel injector for internal combustion engines comprising a high-pressure fuel tank (5). Said fuel injector encompasses a pressure booster (8) and an injection valve member (10) that is provided with at least one booster section (11) and a needle section (13) which closes at least one injection port (16). The pressure booster (8) is accommodated inside a booster housing (9) and rests on a spring element (27) that surrounds the booster housing (9) such that the booster housing (9) is fixed onto a nozzle housing part (15) which encloses the injection valve member (10).
