An AC power transmission system has an AC power source 12 connected to a load 14 through a transmission conductor 13 which has a capacitive device 10,11 connected to each end. The capacitive device 10,11 may be a capacitive AC transmission component of zero resistance and zero inductance or a buffer capacitor. The invention allegedly reduces losses whilst eliminating the use of expensive transformers, superconductor systems, voltage regulators, and overload protection equipment. |
