The method involves transmitting a message from an application on a multimedia-terminal to a remote desk center, which is connected with subscriber switching facility (PBX). The center initiates a call from a line-switched telecommunication network, with the reception of message. The call is interconnected to an agent place, and a video connection (13) is established between the agent place and the multimedia terminal.
