METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING MENU USING WEB CONTENT BASED ON VIDEO CALL

A method and a system for offering a video phone-based menu using web contents are provided to enable a user of a communication terminal to directly receive information needed for a video call through a visual menu by forming the visual menu as a web type, converting the visual menu into a multimedia stream, and offering the multimedia stream to the communication terminal. A call/application server searches a visual menu URL(Uniform Resource Locator) and requests a media server to insert the visual menu in a state that the first communication terminal is connected to the second communication terminal. The media server requests visual contents to a content gateway by receiving a visual menu insertion request. The content gateway requests web contents corresponding to the visual menu URL to a web server by receiving a visual content request including the visual menu URL. The web server transmits the web contents to the content gateway by receiving a web content request. The content gateway converts the received web contents into the multimedia stream and transmits the multimedia stream to the media server.
