A hair dye composition comprising arginine is provided to induce swelling of hair to allow dye to be effectively permeated into cuticle of human hair, thereby significantly decreasing dyeing time. In the hair dye composition consisting of a first agonist including an oxidation dye and an alkalizing agent, and a second agonist including an oxidizing agent, 1.0-5.0 wt.% of arginine capable of improving dye speed of the first agonist is included regarding 100 wt.% of the first agonist. The first agonist further comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of aloe vera gel, ceramide and hair keratin.
