A customer rewards system or programme includes a provider selecting preferred businesses to be members of the system. The provider provides the members of the system with a plurality of identification means. Each identification means has at least one unique identifier and the members of the system provide an identification means to a holder at the discretion of the members. Each identification means is adapted to allow the holder to identify themselves to a system member to obtain a reward when a purchase is made from a system member. The provider also provides a website to provide communication of advantages and specific promotions regarding the system to the holders and provides a feedback means associated with the website where the holders can provide feedback to members of the system about the service provided by the members. The holders are required to use their unique identifier when providing feedback and feedback is encouraged through rewards. The provider analyses and collates the holder feedback obtained through the feedback means for useful information regarding the service provided to the holders and provides the useful information to the members of the system. Receiving the reward is not dependant upon the accumulation of reward value measuring indicia by the holder of the identification means.
