An isolated human monoclonal antibody which binds to human EGFR on the same epitope on EGFR as an antibody comprising a heavy chain variable region having the amino acid sequence in SEQ ID NO:2 and a light chain variable region having the amino acid sequence in SEQ ID NO:4. The human antibody blocks EGFR ligand binding to human EGFR and can be used in the manufacture of a medicament for treating or preventing a disease mediated by expression of EGFR.
