Described are proteins from group B streptococcus (Streptococcus agalactiae) and group A streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes). Also described are antibodies that bind to the proteins; nucleic acid molecules that encode the proteins; a method to produce the proteins; methods to identify and isolate compounds that bind to the proteins; hybrid proteins; and immunogenic, vaccine or diagnostic compositions that comprise the proteins, nucleic acid molecules or antibodies to treat or prevent infection or disease caused by a streptococcus bacterium.
