A method for detecting a target analyte in a sample. The method comprises: a) contacting a sample with an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No:1 that selectively binds to said target analyte, b) removing unbound materials, c) determining whether said target analyte has been bound by said amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 to form a complex; and d) correlating the complex formed in step c) to the presence of the target analyte in said sample.
