A method for improving the download speed of firmware in a multi-microprocessor system of a mobile communication terminal is provided to simultaneously download the firmware to a multi flash memory by exchanging the data of integrated download driver with a microprocessor except a main microprocessor and executing the data, thereby reducing download time of the firmware and accordingly improving the efficiency of production and development of the mobile communication terminal. In a method for improving download speed of firmware in a multi-microprocessor system of a mobile communication terminal performing a multimedia function including photographing, broadcasting reception, game, MP3 playing through an integrated download driver, the method comprises the following steps of: sensing reception of a packet through an interface module(S420); executing the integrated download driver in the multi-microprocessor(S430); and downloading the firmware to a multi flash memory by the integrated download driver executed in the above step(S440).
