The method involves integrating an elastic butt jointing (1) having cellular rubber with a tubular insert (12) in reticulated rubber that is provided in a male end of one of the two gaskets (11). Two gaskets (11) are joined by fitting the insert in a female end of the other gasket. The cellular rubber has increased compressibility in the longitudinal direction of the gaskets assembly. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a gaskets assembly obtained by a gaskets assembling method (2) an installation for implementing a gaskets assembling method.
