Bifunctional hydrofluorocarbon compounds (I) with one cationic head group and one nonionic head group are new. Bifunctional hydrofluorocarbon compounds of formula (I) are new R3-Z-(CH2)o-(CF2)m-(CH2)n-Y-CH(-XR2)-CH2-W-R1 (I) one of X and Y : NHCO and the other is CONH; W and Z : OCO, COO, CONH, NHCONH, NHCOO, OCONH, NHCO, OCOO, O, S, SO, SO2, CH2 or single bond; n and o : 2-12; m : 2-10; one of R1 and R3cationic group and the other is nonionic; R24-24C hydrocarbyl, optionally fluorinated. An independent claim is also included for an association (A) of one or more (I) with a biologically active polynucleotide (II). ACTIVITY : Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Gene therapy; Vaccine.
