A YACHT KEEL HAVING FOLDAWAY WINGS

A yacht keel having foldaway wings is provided to reduce the drag force applied to both wings and induce the lifting force by installing the wing unit and differently spreading both wings. A yacht keel having foldaway wings comprises a keel body unit(100) mounted at the center of the bottom of the yacht; a keel bulb unit containing a bulb(210) installed at the lower surface of the keel body unit and a wing groove(220) laterally and long sunken at both side surfaces of the bulb; a wing rotary driving unit having a rotary shaft(310) longitudinally mounted in the keel body and bulb units, wherein the upper end is placed by penetrating the upper surface of the keel body unit and the lower end is placed in the keel bulb unit, a driving knob(320) mounted at the upper end of the rotary shaft, and a rotary gear unit(330) connected with the lower end of the rotary shaft and placed in the keel bulb unit; and a wing unit(400) containing first and second wings interlocked with the rotary gear unit. A wing fixing device is symmetrically mounted at both side surfaces in the bulb to constrain and fix the end of the first and second wings.
