<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat coal ash discharged from a coal fired boiler into an easily treated form suitable for reclamation or the like at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: It is found that calcium oxide containing coal ash discharged from coal fired boilers such as pressurization fluidized bed type boilers is a preferable material as an objective of solidification by carbonation treatment, and a manufacturing method of solidifying carbonic acid is implemented. The calcium oxide containing coal ash is allowed to contain moisture in a particulate raw material contained as at least a part of the raw material, carbonation reaction is triggered to the particulate raw material containing the moisture in the presence of carbon dioxide, thereby solidifying the raw material particles of the calcium oxide containing coal ash properly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
