PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately shift travelling from leading vehicle following travelling to constant speed travelling at a set vehicle speed, in response to a travelling environment. SOLUTION: A travelling controller performs the leading vehicle following travelling so as to allow a vehicle following distance to be a target vehicle following distance when the leading vehicle is detected on the lane of the own vehicle, and performs acceleration at a target acceleration degree till the speed of the own vehicle becomes the predetermined speed (the set vehicle speed), so as to perform the constant speed travelling by the set vehicle speed when the leading vehicle is not detected on the lane of the own vehicle. A horizontal acceleration generated in the horizontal direction of the own vehicle is detected. When the leading vehicle is not detected during the following travelling and also the lateral acceleration exceeds the predetermined threshold, the acceleration to the set vehicle speed is suppressed.
