PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant disk system capable of avoiding two devices that constitute redundancy from failing at the same time. SOLUTION: A redundant disk comprising a combination of storage devices of two different systems, that is, a magnetic storage device 1 and a semiconductor storage device 2, and a controller for controlling redundancy are provided. The plurality of storage devices constituting redundancy are prevented from failing at the same time or one after the other in a short period of time because of the same cause.
