PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system with an outdoor unit having single construction and using two pipes or three pipes in common. SOLUTION: The air conditioning system comprises the outdoor unit 2 having a compressor 20 and an outdoor heat exchanger 21, and a plurality of indoor units connected to the outdoor unit 2. When the indoor units are connected to all of a gas pipe portion 43, a suction pipe portion 30A and a liquid pipe portion 33, a first flow path selector valve 41 and a second flow path selector valve 42 are changed over for the plurality of indoor units to perform cooling operation or heating operation at the same time or to perform a mixture of cooling operation and heating operation. When the indoor units are connected to the gas pipe portion 43 and the liquid pipe portion 33, the first flow path selector valve 41 and the second flow path selector valve 42 are changed over for the plurality of indoor units to perform cooling operation or heating operation at the same time.
