PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyeing method which uses bark and is capable of dyeing in an unconventionally darker color and the dyeing of a wood core material in a color close to red in a short time when wood is dyed by being irradiated with light. SOLUTION: In an extraction process S1, 300 g of Japanese cedar bark powder is extracted with hot water. Next, in a dyeing process S2, the Japanese cedar bark extract is applied on Japanese cedar sap wood with a brush and dried. In a mordanting process S3, a 5 wt% tin (IV) chloride penta-hydrate aqueous solution is applied on the surface of the Japanese cedar sap wood coated with the Japanese cedar bark extract and dried. Finally, in an ultraviolet irradiation process S4, the coated surface of the Japanese cedar sap wood after the mordanting process S3 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays by using a xenon lamp.
