PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate reinforced with embedded stainless steel wire mesh satisfying all of requirements of (1)-(5), that is (1) to pass the fire-proof evaluation test based on JIS R 3204-1994, to be used as fire-proof glass, (2) to be free from the deterioration of appearance, (3) to be free from rusting for a long period, (4) to be easily cut and (5) to have magnetization. SOLUTION: The glass plate reinforced with embedded stainless steel wire mesh uses a wire mesh having a square, rectangular or rhombic shaped mesh formed by crossing stainless steel-made wire rods coated with a nickel plated layer on the surface and having 0.45 to 0.64 mm diameter each other and welding the intersections.
