The method involves recognizing an event of reference signals, with which information to be transmitted is coded in data symbols. The information is transmitted by a transmitter to a receiver. The transmitter and receiver store the time of starting of transmission and reception, respectively. An extended data symbol is transmitted on the basis of stored time of starting of transmission and reception and is then received in the receiver. An independent claim is also included for a mechanism for synchronization of digital communication system.
