<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which can prevent a texture part from becoming discolored due to irradiation with light, and a thermal recording label using this thermal recording material and a thermal magnetic recording paper. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material comprises an undercoat layer, a thermal color developing layer and an overcoat layer sequentially formed on a support. In this thermal recording material, a water-soluble or an emulsion ultraviolet absorbing resin is added to the thermal color developing layer and/or the overcoat layer. Further, in this material, a basic compound is added to at least either one of the undercoat layer, the thermal color developing layer or the overcoat layer.
