PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor for reciprocal rotation capable of obtaining low power consumption, low vibration, and low noise, without causing step failures, by constantly detecting a counter electromotive force during rotation in the step motor that is driven by using a pulse control method. SOLUTION: This stepping motor includes a rotating body 5 in which two poles are polarized, a first pole 9 and a second pole 13 which are disposed so as to face each other via the rotating body 5, a center pole 11 which is provided substantially orthogonal with respect to the first and second poles, a first coil 17 which is magnetically jointed with either of the first or the second pole, and a second coil 19 which is magnetically jointed with the center pole 11. A drive pulse is applied to either of the first coil 17 or the second coil 19, and the drive pulse is applied to the other coil, after the completion of application of the drive pulse.
