<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal flowmeter that has a high temperature characteristic and small variation and is inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal flowmeter comprises a sensor element that is formed of an exothermic resistor and at least two resistance thermometers on the upstream and downstream and is positioned in a measured medium flow, and an adjusting means for adjusting over-temperature (ΔTh=Th-Ta) of the exothermic resistor, namely the difference between the temperature (Ta) of the measured medium and the temperature (Th) of the exothermic resistor. The adjusting means adjusts it so that the over-temperature of the exothermic resistor decreases as the temperature of the measured medium rises, dependently on the temperature of the measured medium. Thus, the thermal flowmeter that has the high temperature characteristic and small variation and is inexpensive is achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
