PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data write method of a disk drive by which influence of a fringe region due to an azimuth angle is especially suppressed, in consequence, a recording and reproducing property of data can be improved. SOLUTION: The data write method is applied to a disk drive recording data in a disk medium by a head mounted on a rotary actuator. In this method, when a position of a data track is included an inner peripheral area or an outer peripheral area on a disk medium, track pitch conversion processing is performed so that track pitch of the data track is larger than the track pitch in intermediate peripheral area.
