PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support system allowing improvement of efficiency of advance investigation of software problem occurrence presence/absence in version upgrading of a library or an operating system, and record of an extraction result. SOLUTION: This specific subroutine retrieval system has: a subroutine name extraction means extracting a subroutine name from a program file of software; and a first subroutine retrieval means retrieving a subroutine included in middleware or the operating system before the version upgrading by use of the subroutine name extracted by the subroutine name extraction means.
