PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing the load on a host computer that uses a storage system for storing data, after data processing, where the size of the data itself changes. SOLUTION: Data are transferred to the host computer with a first block as the smallest unit. Data are transferred to a memory region with a second block as the smallest unit. The second block set in the memory region stores data, obtained by data conversion processing where the size of the data itself changes, with the first block being set as one unit. Here, the relation between the first block set, and the second block set is generated. Further, according to a readout demand from the host computer, the second block set corresponding to the first block set including the demanded first block is readout, inversion conversion process is performed, and the data are sent to the host computer.
