PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to fit a cleaning device to a rotary body or a conveying body such as an intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: A driving roll 31 which drives the intermediate transfer belt 15 has a groove 31a formed curving along the axis. A belt cleaner 35, on the other hand, is provided with a projection portion 86 capable of projecting and retracting. As the belt cleaner 35 is inserted orthogonally to the moving direction B of the intermediate transfer belt 15, the projection portion 86 of the belt cleaner 35 is fitted in the groove 31a of the driving roll 31, which rotates with driving force received through the projection portion 86 and groove 31a. The intermediate transfer belt 15 rotates in a moving direction B as the driving roll 31 rotates, and consequently frictional force operating between the intermediate transfer belt 15, and a 1st blade and a 2nd blade is reduced and the belt cleaner 35 is smoothly inserted.
