MULTI-ANTENNA/MULTI-USER RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND TRANSMISSION ANTENNA SELECTION METHOD

There are disclosed a multi-antenna/multi-user radio communication system and a transmission antenna selection method. In this system, each channel estimation unit (115) feeds back a channel characteristic vector obtained by estimation together with a target reception power to a base station (151). By using the information fed back from the channel estimation unit (115), a pre-processing/transmission antenna selection control unit (202) selects a combination of transmission antennas according to a historical selection method based on the transmission power or a selection method based on norm of each column of the channel estimation matrix. In order to transmit each of the signals transmitted by the combination of the transmission antennas selected to each particular mobile station, the pre-processing/transmission antenna selection control unit (202) calculates a pre-processing matrix according tot he target reception power. A pre-processing unit (104) executes data pre-processing according to the pre-processing matrix. A transmission antenna selection unit (201) selects a transmission antenna used for transmission according to the selected combination of the transmission antenna.
