PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder composition for a secondary battery electrode excellent in adhesion to a collector and providing a secondary battery excellent in a charge-discharge cycle characteristic even in high-temperature and low-temperature conditions.

SOLUTION: This binder composition for a secondary battery electrode contains: (A) 100 pts.mass of organosilane denatured polymer (as a solid content); and (B) 1-20 pts.mass of a mercapto group-containing organosilane compound.
