ZERO CROSS DETECTION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zero cross detection circuit capable of stably detecting zero cross in a fixed cycle with respect to superimposed noise and waveform distortion to the alternating voltage of a commercial power supply.

SOLUTION: The zero cross detection circuit generates a pulse signal synchronous with timing when the alternating voltage crosses zero potential. The zero cross detection circuit comprises a rectangular wave converting means for generating a rectangular wave signal synchronous with at least one of a positive half cycle or negative half cycle of the alternating voltage, and a mono-stable multi-vibrator means triggered by the rectangular wave signal.
