<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device capable of performing luminance control according to the ratio of an emission region occupied in the entire display region without changing voltage to be applied according to the ratio, and provide a drive method thereof and an electronic device having the organic EL device. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL device has a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of data lines extending in the direction perpendicular to the scanning lines and emission elements arranged in accordance with intersections between the scanning lines and the data lines and a driving device thereof.
