<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively compensate variations of a threshold voltage of a driver element for supplying a driving current to a light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage of a positive power supply line 17 is made lower than that of a negative power supply line 18 and a first switching element 11 is turned off and a second switching element 20 is turned on, and thereby, a drain and a gate of the driver element 12 are connected to the negative power supply line 18 while separating a signal line 15 and a threshold voltage Vt of the driver element 12 is charged to a static capacitor 13. The second switching element 20 is turned off, and a first switching element 11 is turned on while a data voltage is supplied to a signal line 15, and the data voltage is added to a gate voltage of the driver element 12. Then, by setting the voltage of the positive power supply line 17 to a normal power supply voltage, the driving current corresponding to a voltage between the gate and a source flows to the driver element 12 and a light emitting element 14 emits light by the driving current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
