PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus including functionalities for easily designating the range of a shape for image data on an image display unit, cutting out a range-designated image and performing image processing such as shape correction, magnification, movement and rotation. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus wherein various kinds of multiple image reading functionalities are integrated and editing processing is performed upon read image data, including: the image display unit including a touch panel functionality; a write means for designating an image range displayed on the image display unit; and an image editing processing means comprising a processing functionality for performing editing processing upon the image range-designated by the write means and pasting the processed image on a pasting destination image.
