摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor capable of faithfully reproducing, as a toner image, an electrostatic latent image on the organic photoreceptor formed by an image exposure light source of a semiconductor laser or light emitting diode of 350 to 500 nm in oscillation wavelength, an image forming apparatus, an image forming method, and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor is used for the image forming apparatus having an exposure means for forming the electrostatic latent image on the organic photoreceptor by using the image exposure light source of the semiconductor laser or light emitting diode of 350 to 500 nm in oscillation wavelength and a developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image to the toner image. The organic photoreceptor has a configuration obtained by laminating an intermediate layer containing inorganic particles of a number average primary grain size 5 to 200 nm on a conductive support and a photosensitive layer on the intermediate layer, in which the film thickness of the intermediate layer is greater than 8μm and≤25μm and the film thickness of the photosensitive layer is 8 to 18μm.
