PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective shield using styrene foam, polyethylene foam or urethane foam as a material of a protection body, capable of being easily handled as a light protective shield even by a weak child, a female, or an aged person, capable of preventing an offensive weapon such as an edged tool from being easily pulled out by specific elasticity of the styrene foam, polyethylene foam or urethane foam when being stabbed and pierced by the offensive weapon such as the edged tool, capable of absorbing impact applied to the protective shield by piercing or hitting, and capable of restraining the producing cost of the protective shield as compared with a conventional metallic shield by the inexpensive material. SOLUTION: At least one of grips 3 is formed on one surface or an outer peripheral end surface of the protection body 2 formed by the styrene foam material, the polyethylene foam material or the urethane foam material.
