PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve sensitive detection by providing a hybridization buffer solution for achieving sensitive detection, by promoting the hybridization of a fluorescent-labeled target to a probe on a DNA microarray, especially by applying the hybridization buffer solution in an apparatus for automating hybridization operation. SOLUTION: The hybridization buffer solution used for DNA micro arrays is allowed to contain polyethylene glycol at a concentration in the range that is equal to or higher than 5% (weight/solution) and equal to or lower than 15% (weight/solution).
