An automotive piston engine has fuel mixture inlets and exhaust port outlets regulated by lift/lower valves operated by lever (3) action. The lever (3) is located essentially horizontal within the cylinder head. The pressure roller (3a) is located essentially in the middle of the lever (3). The other end of the rocker lever is in contact with the camshaft.
