The valve has a valve unit with an energy electronics and an electrochemical actuator designed as a drive. A solar module (2) with a solar cell (21) is designed as an energy source, and includes a negative electrode for forming hydrogen at the actuator for generation of gas. The actuator works according to a functional principle of a nickel/hydrogen cell for energy storage. A high power charging capacitor receives energy from the discharging actuator and/or the solar module.
