摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling an oxygen supply device which keeps a low power consumption required during supply of oxygen by keeping the temperature of a solid electrolyte itself efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen supply device is equipped with an oxygen pump element equipped with the solid electrolyte 10, a voltage applying means 22, a voltage control means 23, a heating means A24 and a temperature control means 26. Upon starting, the oxygen pump element is heated to a predetermined temperature by the heating means A24 and, after voltage is applied to the heating means A24 by the voltage applying means 22 to bring the oxygen pump element to an operation state in a predetermined current value, the voltage applied to the heating means A24 is reduced while the voltage applied to the oxygen pump element is further raised and the operation state in the predetermined current value is kept to set a steady time. By this arrangement, the solid electrolyte 10 is rapidly set to a temperature capable of setting an oxygen ion conductive state upon starting and, since the solid electrolyte 10 itself can be held to an operation state by the quantity of heat produced by the oxygen ion conduction at the steady time, the power consumption required during the supply of oxygen can be suppressed low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
