<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and image processing apparatus, with which JPEG processing can be performed so as make the total processing efficiency of image processing improved. <P>SOLUTION: Image processing in an image processing section 7 is performed for each block line including a plurality of blocks constituted of blocks, which consists of N-unit blocks arranged in the direction of column, each of the unit blocks consisting of M MCUs in the direction of row. JPEG compression data, JPEG-compressed by a JPEG compression section 9 and written in a frame memory 5, are decompressed by a JPEG decompression/compression section 12 and written in the frame memory 5 again. When reading the JPEG decompressed data written in the frame memory 5, they are read from the upper side unit block and the data are compressed by the JPEG decompression/compression section 12 again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
