<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus and free label search method with which a label can be autonomously allocated according to constraints of a ring-type network. <P>SOLUTION: When allocating a label to a path, a label search message 30a is circulated from a transmission apparatus 200a as a starting point, and information regarding free labels of an active path and a backup path is collected while performing AND operation. Furthermore, an initial value for a label list of the backup path is set while considering ring protect in the transmission apparatus 200c at the switching portion of the active path and the backup path. The transmission apparatus 200a can allocate the label so that the ring protect becomes valid, by selecting a free label on the basis of contents of the recurring label search message 30h. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
