<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the temperature characteristics (TCR) and the withstand voltage characteristics (STOL) of resistance having small values certainly, and to improve noise characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The resistor paste is produced by dispersing a conductive material, a glass composition, and an additive into an organic vehicle wherein the additive contains a composite oxide represented by AXO<SB>3</SB>(in the formula, A is at least one selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba, and X is at least one selected from group IVb elements (excepting Pb and Si)). X is at least one selected from Sn, Ge, and C. Alternatively, in the resistor paste produced by dispersing a conductive material, a glass composition, and an additive into an organic vehicle, the additive contains a composite oxide represented by AZ<SB>2</SB>O<SB>6</SB>(in the formula, A is at least one selected from Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba, and Z is at least one kind selected from pentavalent elements).
