PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide resin coated sand for a laminated casting mold, which resin coated sand can improve both of the solidified strength and the permeability of the laminated casting mold obtained using the resin coated sand, and also can effectively suppress the generation of pyrolytic products (tar, soot, etc.) derived from organic substances, and further can show excellent collapsibility of the casting mold after casting. SOLUTION: The resin coated sand for the laminated casting mold is formed such that the surfaces of refractory particles are coated by a binding agent composition composed of indispensable components, which are novolak type phenol resin having a methylene group ortho/para binding ratio of 1.5 or more, and aromatic amine, etc., and further its granularity index is 80 to 150.
