PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which secures satisfactory cleanability, has excellent wear resistance to a photoreceptor, is reduced in photoreceptor deterioration, such as filming, and is capable of performing stable and excellent image formation, and to provide a process cartridge for image formation. SOLUTION: Relating to a blade cleaning system of removing the transfer residue toner on the photoreceptor 10 by allowing a cleaning blade 20 to abut on the photoreceptor 10, the cleaning blade 20 has the repulsive elasticity at 23°C of≥50% and abutting pressure on the photoreceptor 10 of 0.20-0.70 N/cm. The toner added with external additives is used, wherein the number average grain size of the primary particles of the external additives is 20 to 100 nm, the particles of grain sizes 10 to 20 nm and 200 to 300 nm are included, and the circularity of the toner is≥0.94.
