PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide gas absorbent having a long-term stability of carbon dioxide absorption characteristics. SOLUTION: The porous carbon dioxide absorbent comprises a lithium complex oxide as a principal constituent, which comprises first pores of a pore diameter of 10 to 100μm occupying 10 to 80% of the total pores and second pores of a pore diameter of bigger than 100μm and not bigger than 500μm occupying 10 to 80% of the total pores.
